5k Registration

Father Michael J. McGivney, assistant pastor of St. Mary’s Church in New Haven, CT, founded the Knights of Columbus, in 1882, as a fraternal benefit society. The Order is still true to its founding principles of charity, unity and fraternity.  The Knights was formed to render financial aid to members and their families. Mutual aid and assistance are offered to sick, disabled and needy members and their families.

Times haven’t changed much since 1882.  There are still families in need, and the Knights of Columbus is there to render assistance.   We have partnered with Hanover Township Food Pantry for many years to help provide food to families in need.  This is our 8th Annual Knights Challenge 5K, which benefits the food pantry directly. On October 2nd, runners, walkers, and school-age kids will assemble at St. John’s Parish Center to help us in our quest to Feed His Sheep.   Registration is open online.

Special Promotion:    Now through August 21st, use code “PICto save 10% per individual runner / walker .   Or why not form a team and register using the team pricing?  We will take walk-in registrations the day of the race, but the prices will increase.    Registration early will be important so that we can plan any changes to accommodate social distancing requirements, if any exist at the time of the race.

Hanover Township Food Pantry helps more than 700 families each month.  Keeping their shelves full is always a struggle, but by generous support from the community, they are able to continue their mission of caring for those families.  Through your generosity, by sponsoring, participating in the Knights Challenge, or making a monetary donation, Mary’s Millennium Council is able to continue playing our role in serving the community.

Bears Raffle

We are also raising money for Hanover Township Food Pantry via a raffle now through August 21st .  We will be raffling a pair of tickets to the Chicago Bears vs Green Bay Packers game (Sunday October 17, 2021).  One lucky winner will be at the game to watch this long-standing rivalry take to the field.   Purchase as many chances as you like ($5 donation per entry) from one of the Knights or online at (online ticket price includes a $0.50 credit card processing fee per ticket).
