Virtual Spring 2020 Registration Open

We have now finalized our preparations for the Spring 2020 Virtual Knights Challenge 5K Run/Walk which will be held May 1 – June 20..  The event, sponsored by the Knights and Ladies in conjunction with St. John’s, will benefit the Hanover Township Food Pantry.   We are trying to raise funds NOW for the food pantry, because their shelves are empty due to increased demand during this health crisis.

How does a virtual 5k work?  You run a 5k or walk (5k or less) any time between now and June 20th at noon.  Choose your route: take to the treadmill, run in your neighborhood, or follow the suggested course map — feel free to run a loop beginning at any point and proceeding in either direction.  Capture your results with our phone app or manually update them on our race website.  Awards will be announced on June 20 at 5 PM on our website (or after all results have been tallied).

We have discounted rates for early registration (now thru May 15th), seniors, kids under 15, and families. You can decide if you want the race swag (t-shirt and finisher ribbon) or not.  In addition, 5k participants will be eligible for medals.  Pickup for swag and awards will be at St. John’s on a date to be determined. The event is open to anyone in the United States.  Race swag and awards will be mailed to those participants at the same time local distribution is available.  We encourage fund-raising, available to individuals or teams, and will recognize our top individuals and teams.   Join the fun but please follow safe-distancing and other local guidelines.
